Auto Body Repair Fort Smith

Our dealership body shop is a full-service collision repair facility designed to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition while maintaining modern safety and technology standards. We provide comprehensive services including collision repair for everything from minor dents to major structural damage, frame straightening, precise panel alignment, and OEM-level refinishing using computerized color matching and factory-approved paint systems. Cosmetic services such as paintless dent repair, scratch and scuff removal, and hail damage repair are also available, along with glass replacement and repair. When glass or other components are replaced, we ensure that all related systems—especially those tied to vehicle safety and driver assistance—are properly inspected and recalibrated.

A critical part of today’s body shop work involves recalibrating advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and sensor technologies that are often affected by even minor repairs. Many modern vehicles rely on forward-facing camera systems for features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking, all of which require precise alignment after repairs or windshield replacement. Radar sensors used for adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert must also be recalibrated to ensure accurate detection and response. Ultrasonic sensors, commonly used for parking assist and proximity detection, often need recalibration after bumper work, while vehicles equipped with lidar systems may require specialized recalibration procedures for their advanced sensing functions.

Additional critical systems include steering angle sensors, yaw rate and acceleration sensors, and stability control modules, all of which play a role in traction control and vehicle stability and must be reset or recalibrated when suspension or structural repairs are performed. Ride height or suspension sensors, especially on vehicles with adaptive or air suspension systems, also require recalibration to maintain proper ride quality and safety. Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) may need sensor relearns after wheel or tire service, and blind spot monitoring systems and surround-view camera systems often require recalibration after body panel or mirror replacement. In many cases, windshield-integrated sensors—including rain, light, and sun sensors, as well as camera modules—must be recalibrated after glass replacement to ensure proper function of automatic wipers, headlights, and other automated features.

Recalibration is typically required anytime a vehicle undergoes collision repair, windshield replacement, suspension work, wheel alignment, or repairs that affect sensor mounting points or vehicle geometry. To ensure accuracy, our process includes pre-scan diagnostics to identify fault codes and system status, followed by OEM-approved calibration procedures. These may involve static calibration using specialized targets and equipment in the shop or dynamic calibration completed through controlled road testing. A post-repair scan verifies that all systems are functioning correctly and that no errors remain.

By combining high-quality repair workmanship with thorough sensor recalibration, our body shop ensures that both the structural integrity and the advanced safety technologies of each vehicle are fully restored. This commitment helps maintain manufacturer standards, supports insurance requirements, and, most importantly, ensures that critical safety systems operate exactly as intended to protect drivers and passengers.
